Warndu means ‘good' in the Adnyamathanha language.
With Warndu products, we want you to feel good.…
Good knowing that our products are nutritious; good knowing that Warndu contributes to our community; good knowing that the products that you buy protect our precious soils.
Warndu uses this country’s native plants, nuts, seeds and proteins and each of these will create meaningful meals; meals that are local and seasonal in the true sense of the words. It does not get any more local and seasonal than
working with Australian native produce - grown in this beautiful country for over 60,000 years.
In buying good - you are doing good.
Food is and always has been a way of sharing stories and at times making peace. Our mission is to be a brand to create a space for conversation, learning, sharing and collaborating by using Australian Native Ingredients in everyday
accessible products that we make under our Wardnu label.
Let us help you to create meaningful meals by using our products and contribute to growing our incredible Australian Native Food Industry. It does not get any more local and seasonal than working with what has grown here in this
beautiful country of ours for 60,000 years. Lets use that knowledge, embrace it and all of its amazing plants, nuts, seeds and proteins and ask questions of its heritage, its place and its use. Just because generations before us thought that these foods were
not good enough to eat, does not mean we have to bury our heads in the red earth and ignore it. Step up and fight for a better and fairer food future for our next generation. Help us to build our first incubator space, Brew & Broth.
Below one of our products, the Davidson Plum & Lemon Myrtle brew bags. Also in our rewards...
Our first step in a rather large mission was to create a range of simple products that ALL Australians could relate too. Simple, everyday products that we could add some of our beautiful Native Australian Ingredients
too and offer them in a way that would not intimidate people and encourage them to try. We also wanted to beable to educate as much as possible, hence the illustrations of all of our native Australian ingredients. Every product label has an illustration of
what is inside. This we hope will cause curiosity and conversation about our Indigenous culture, traditions and food.
Our stage two is our campaign, creating Brew & Broth. Our home. This is where you can try and buy all of our product range and or stay and eat one of our meaningful meals. Our broth bar will comprise of the following
nutritious broths made using not just Australian Native Ingredients but also using otherwise wasted bones from ethical, humanely raised and killed animals, as well as locally sourced fresh, seasonal produce. You can choose a base broth then add a handful of
native greens, South Australian Veggies and other fab things like lentils or beans.
- Barramundi Broth
- Roo Broth
- Free Range Chicken & Native Thyme Broth
- Beef & Native Pepperberry Broth
- Free Range Pork & Native Lemongrass broth with Muntries (Native Apple)
Please help us build our first Brew & Broth Incubator!
If we can build one in Adelaide then our plans will be to build the next one in Bondi, Byron and Melbourne over the next two years. From there our next stages will be our body & face range and our Australian Native protein powder.
By giving anything from $5 to $5000 we appreciate it all more than my words can write. We have come up with rewards that mean our campaign and you being a part of our journey are all inclusive. We want you to do Warndu.
