About This Project

Use Of Funds

$2,000 Tipping Point Goal

Funds will be used to:


Pay the rent for a house in Northern Thailand around 8,000b ( $267) per month.


$1000 will be used to pay our Thai staff and provide transport and food for our University volunteers from the local University and volunteer eye specialist to give free eye exams, and our particpants from the major transportation hubs of Northern Thailand.


$1200 will be used to pay for essencial equipment used in the teaching such as braillers and braille papaer, pegs to learn braille, 32x stand magnifiers, along with handheld portable brailling devices for the students to use at home, as well as canes and
English Language workbooks and materials.


$600 will be used for first aid items and vitamin B and OIS t-shirts for each participant and staff.


$700 will be used for buying a computer and printer for the organizations office.


$700-800 per month will be alocated to pay for food and beverages for the particpants.


$200-300 will be used to advertise and travel to remote villages and give information and look for potencial canidates for the project. The remaining funds will be used for up-keep and 4, one month long sessions a year: 2 for adults and 2 for children. If
we reach our tipping point we will be able to rent, open and begin operation of the house/ office in Northern Thailand.


If and when we reach our tipping point, we will be able to hold a very first course, bring in several special education teachers to help us in assessing the particapants and ironing out any kinks, most importantly we will be able to hold
the sessions for the full 4 month term and teach a large range of skills to our students, gaining us crediblity in the local community with which we work

All rewards from lower levels, PLUS: For your donation you will be given the chance, if you desire, to come to Thailand to help as a volunteer. You could teach, look after, or assist in anyway possible the development of opportunities for the individuals taking part in our training. We will reimburse you for you visa, pay for 4 days guest house accommodation in Chang Mai, Thailand; where you can visit the sights of this the 2nd largest city of Thailand. Your travel costs to and from Thailand are not included.
