Orguyo F.C.
In 2010 we started a football club in a disadvantaged area for kids in that community. We believe that every human being is entitled to have fun, luck and respect in their lives.
Sport connects people all over the world. This is why we started a footballclub for these kids. The name of the club was Orguyo F.C. which means Pride Football Club in the local language (papiamentu). We wanted these kids to be proud of their club and community.
We started out the first day with 3 kids and now we have more than 100 kids at the club in 6 teams ages 6-18 years. We always tell these kids that it doesn't matter were they come from as long as we work together with respect we can achieve a lot.
This year the club received an inventation to participate in a tournament with a team of kids between the age of 12-16 in The Netherlands from NAC Street League.
NAC Streat League
Nac Street is a local compitition for kids in Breda (The Netherlands). This organization provides the opportunity for kids in every neighboorhood in Breda to participate in a street football competition.
Besides playing football each team can get extra points by organizing social activities in their neighborhood. Some examples of social activities are:
- cleaning up in the neighborhood
- organizing activities for the smaller kids
- collecting money for the shelterhomes
- assisting with special needs at their local football club
- helping senior citizens with moving to a new home

Our campaign
In the period from October 1, 2015 u/i April 30, 2016 one team of Orguyo F.C. will organize at least 4 social activities in their neighborhood under supervision of their local coach.
We will document these activities on our website on Facebook (www.facebook.com/OrguyoFC) and on the website of NAC Street League(nacstreetleaguebreda.nl)
This way everyone can see the development of the team during the season.
Our believe is that we can make our communities a better place if we get the youth involved in the development of their own area by participating in social activities.
At the end of the season we will reward these kids by giving them the opportunity to travel to The Netherlands and participate in a great football tournament. This way all cultures can come together and we can all can learn from each other.
