WHAT ARE WE DOING?
We are locally owned bungalows promoting Eco-Tourism concept in Vanuatu. The project focus mainly on building a local economy through community participation without harming the environment.
WHY ARE WE DOING IT?
We are practicing a form of locally owned tourism business inspired primarily by the natural environment of an area, including its history and indigenous cultures. The project promotes relatively undeveloped communities the in South West Bay area of the island of Malekula in the spirit of appreciation, participation and sensitivity for the visitors. It contributes to conservation of biodiversity; sustains the well-being of local people; involves responsible action on the part of tourist and the tourism industry; promotes small and medium tourism enterprises; requires lowest possible consumption of natural resources; stresses local participation, ownership, and business opportunities, particularly for rural people; and above all includes the learning experiences.
