In Africa, in this case Kenya, the common belief is that a child with disabilities and his mother are possessed by the devil and thus rejected by God. It is a curse on the family.
It is not unusual for the mothers of children with disabilities to be cast out of society and left to fend for themselves on the streets. In order to avoid the unwanted attention in the neighbourhood which a child with disabilities attracts, these children
are often hidden in the hut, often tethered by a rope to prevent them from going outside. Physically deformed children or children with spasticity are considered dangerous and therefore often locked in cages.
Something not acceptable!

Our Project
Noticing that mothers need a professional day care to leave their children during the day to be able to go out and work without any fear that something happens to her child. Starting from that onwards I decided to open a Daycare / Therapy Center in the Slums
of Nairobi, which I did 3 years ago. There is still no other organisation taking care of mentally or physically challenged children.
I rented a house under construction and invested money to finish the building so that we were able to start with the children there. The invested money I deducted from the rental price, so that we had 2,5 years without paying rent. Now our rental agreement
is running out by the end of 2015 and we have no option to stay there. Looking around for other possibilities I found a real ideal place to buy. Therefore we need the money.
Please Help
Every donation, no matter how small or big it may be, will help us to get enough money to buy the room.
