Day trip to the river (Río Negro) and planting trees with children infected with HIV - Hogar Ana María Foundation, Villavicencio, Colombia
Within the framework of our upcoming yoga and wellness retreat in Villavicencio, we would like to share a beautiful activity with the children of the Hogar Ana María Foundation (FHAM). FHAM is a non-profit organization whose purpose is the comprehensive care of HIV positive children and adolescents, between the ages of 0 and 17, at different stages of the disease. FHAM especially serves low-income children and adolescents with physical, emotional and spiritual abandonment, by improving their quality of life and offering them a home where they can find all the help they may need.
The activity will be a trip to the nearby Río Negro, in Apiay, for the participants of the retreat with FHAM children and staff. We will host a cleanse ceremony and have fun in the river. Later on, we will return to the retreat venue to plant several trees and raise awareness of the importance of caring for our environment. We will have lunch together, a delicious and healthy (vegan) dish by our chef and kitchen expert. Finally, we will draw what the day meant for each boy and girl, and for the participants too!
To cover the costs of the activity: transport of the children and staff, and those involved, lunch, the trees that we will plant and the gifts for the children (colors, markers and a booklet for them to draw), we started this campaign for you to support us with a kind donation. What is left from the activity will be donated directly to the Hogar Ana María Foundation, as a gesture of support from us and from you.
We thank you very much for your help and the children of FHAM thank you too! When donating, if you want, please share your email address or WhatsApp number so we can send you photos or videos of the activity and so that FHAM can keep you up to date on what they are able to do with the money.
A giant virtual hug and again: GRACIAS, GRACIAS, GRACIAS!
