We beleive in the power of play therapy by using play dough to reduce anxiety and stress for all ages. At Doughn't we sell scented and coloured organic play dough. We work on a one-for-one business model so for every tub we sell, a tub is donated to Act For Kids for abused and neglected children to use within their play therapy .
What is play therapy?
Although sometimes used with adults, play therapy is a psychotherapeutic approach primarily used to help children ages 3 to 12 explore their lives and freely express repressed thoughts and emotions through play. Therapeutic play normally takes place in a safe, comfortable playroom, where very few rules or limits are imposed on the child, encouraging free expression and allowing the therapist to observe the child’s choices, decisions, and play style. The goal is to help children learn to express themselves in healthier ways, become more respectful and empathetic, and discover new and more positive ways to solve problems.

Who are Act for Kids?
ct for Kids is an Australian charity providing free therapy and support services to children and families who have experienced, or are at risk of child abuse and neglect. We have helped thousands of children and families for over 30 years. Act for Kids operates over 26 centres with a team of over 350 staff from Adelaide all the way up to the Cape York Peninsula. Our services have expanded to include integrated therapy, support for vulnerable families, special workshops to empower kids and safe houses in remote Aboriginal communities.
