The idea behind BOGO Bowl dog food is simple: For every bag of food purchased, we donate another bag of food to dogs in need. The company is led by a team of animal-loving, action-minded women who want to make a difference in the lives of all
dogs. (Here's a little video about how it works if you like such things.)
Our crazy idea is working. Since we opened last August we’ve signed up more than 50 animal welfare organizations in 25 states as BOGO Buddies and have given away tens of thousands of bowls of food. (We were even on
The Today Show!)
There's a huge need that inspired us to start BOGO Bowl dog food and its buy one, give one model. (Think TOMs Shoes, only with kibble.)
There are thousands of animal welfare groups in the U.S. trying to find homes for pets. And pet food pantries have popped up across the country to help keep loved pets in loving homes. If the volunteers and staff of these groups weren’t chasing down resources
for dog food, they could fund more vet care, or find more adoptive homes, or spend more time with the dogs so they don’t get kennel crazies - or about a hundred other good things.
We’ve only just begun.
It really is this easy: You buy a 5, 20 or 55 pound bag of our high-quality, super healthy food, and we give a matching bag to the organization of your choice. Every time. (If you like videos, here's a cute little bit about how it works!)
About the dog food: this is the good stuff. We feed it to our own beloved dogs so it has to be. Salmon, chicken or lamb meal is always the first ingredient. Every formula includes Omegas 3 and 6, fruits and vegetables. There’s not a drop of
corn, wheat or soy. And no artificial junk either. And remember, for every bag of dog food we sell, a second bag of the same top-quality food is given away. (Check out our website and
get the full downlow on our ingredients.)
So, what’s the project? It’s all about happy endings – the tail wagging kind.
We want to connect with the thousands of organizations that need us. We want to send BOGO Buddy kits to help shelters, rescues and pet food pantries connect with their supporters to get more food. We want to connect with dog lovers at expos, online
and in stores. All that connecting takes dollars.
Here’s how you can help – and show off your furry family member at the same time.
Because good food and doing good makes us all feel great, we’re making a book of happy endings. This beautiful tale of tails will picture everyday people like you and the dogs you’ve saved. Little dogs, big dogs, cute dogs, funny-looking dogs, three-legged
dogs, four-legged dogs, blind dogs, sighted dogs ... you get it. And the organization that found your best bud for you will get a shout-out too!
For those choosing inclusion in the book as part of their reward, we’ll need your favorite high-res photo(s) of your pooch(es) with or without humans, a brief description of what’s happening in the photo, names of all critters and people in the photo. Be sure
to give a shout-out to the organization where you adopted your pup(s) so they can feel the love.
With the money we raise from making and selling this beautiful book, we’re going to do beautiful things. We’re going to cover this country in high-quality, U.S.-made, healthy, all-natural kibble and help hard-working groups make even more happy endings.
