A second chance is about creating financial literacy for the Australian people.
My vision is to transform the way people manage their money. I want to show them how to gain control so they can make proactive rather than reactive decisions. 12 months of education and implementation of a simple money management
plan will ensure a better understanding and better opportunities for their money. The next generation will be the knowledge money generation.
We are in a money management crisis.
4.9 million Australians have got credit defaults and are severely handicapped in all forms of their life going forward, eg getting mobile phones, credit cards, or any form of credit.
Another 4 million are living four weeks in front of the debt collector, from pay cheque to pay cheque.
9 million Australians are under some form of financial stress- that's nearly half the country.
It is time to start teaching financial literacy helping people fix their financial problems.
A Second Chance
Is a community initiate where 3 people every 3 months will be mentored on best practice money management, the only investment is their time. These participants will learn skills and gain knowledge of where their money is going,
and how to best manage it. Drawing a line in the sand and moving forward into the future. This is a program that looks through the windscreen as pose to the rear view mirror. People are encouraged to stay in touch and share their success stories to help grow
and support others. Most importantly they regain their self-esteem because they regain control of their financial life.
How Your Money Will Help
The program A Second Chance is ready to go; however, I need your help in reaching out to the people who need it most. I do not have the skill of marketing, and I need someone to do that. I have found a company that reaches out to
the facebook community and from what I understand it needs consistency and awareness. The funds raised will be used for that purpose only.
For every $20 dollars you donate that helps us contact 40 people in need of money management.
If you are a excellent online marketing guru, we will happily accept a donation of your time. You can also help by sharing this project on your facebook.
The feature of the program is that it looks 12 months in advance of where you would like to spend your money. EG: Bills, Entertainment, Clothing and Motor Car Expenses etc.
The advantage to the customers is that they know 12 months in advance where their money will be spent. Rather than just record what they have spent.
The benefit to everyone that has the program they will know exactly what they have allocated to their expenses, and only spend that amount. This will give them peace of mind and confidence to know that they will always have enough
put away for their bills and expenses.
Who am I?
I have been involved in the finance sector for over 35 years, and I have seen firsthand financial institutions selling products, to people who simply cannot afford them.
Every day on Social Media I read stories from families who struggle to put food on the table and simply can’t pay their bills on time. We are in a financial management crisis, even the media on weekly bases is reporting on such
issues as payday lenders and credit card debt spiralling out of control. I want to stop the hurt that people are experiencing and teach them a better way, so the next generation will be equipped with the right knowledge about their money habits.
I am a strong believer in education and leading by example. Unfortunately our last generation were unable to teach us about money. I am reminded of this quote from - Albert Einstein- Example is not the main thing in influencing
others. It is the only thing.
A story of one of the many people we have helped
Your friendship and mentoring by watching over us and coaching us into better spending habits has been very much appreciated. Your positive coaching about our future plans and moderating our spending guide into realistic terms by
re-adjusting our original target spend was very insightful. From the onset I wanted to give this process 12 months and I’m glad to have done that. Having said that I would like to keep contact and call on services if need be and also to say hello. Sincerely
John, we are very grateful of your patience and your assistance in helping us focus. We now eat less at restaurants, but what the hell we like cooking and are eating more regular healthy meals at home these days. Please stay in contact and if anything brings
you to Melbourne please allow a bit of time to catch up with us. Kind Regards, Lou & Corallee. ”
