Hey there, friend!
Over this short campaign, we're raising funds to manufacture a limited-run, patent-pending product that will be available for purchase here and here alone.
My hound (a true street/ice-storm rescue), Dewayne, died in late 2016 when I was just about to launch. So, in honor of him and to champion all other rescues, I am giving away every surplus penny (aside from actual campaign-associated charges, actual manufacturing costs and actual shipping costs) to bonafide animal rescue beneficiaries. While Wineboxy is NOT a non-profit, this is just somethin' I gotta do.
Thanks to Andrew Grant's generosity, this very-first Wineboxy model will feature amazing dog pics as the full design. There's also an area for a personal message, so when you show up to the party with your Wineboxy gift, you needn't even purchase an additional greeting card; this is a 2-in-1 deal.
Believe me: This thing is going to be very fantastic and very great.
Why Wineboxy?
In late 2015, about a hundred friends crowded my dimly-lit backyard to tackle a full bar that included wine, whiskey, champagne, IPAs, wine, cheese, sushi and wine.
The next morning, I found that I had not just a few bottles of wine, but several cases left over.
The storage space in my place wasn't wide open, and I refused to buy a standard, junk rack from China or Indonesia or wherever . . . So, I gathered twelve shoe boxes and built some makeshift wine racks of my own. Weeks later, I had a prototype, and by the Hammer of Thor, it worked.
The lasting mock-up, although basic and bland, has been on my kitchen counter for months, and it reminds me to enjoy life and start something good, daily.
Wineboxy is the light-weight, flat-shipped, kitschy wine rack that's Made in the USA for people, who want something cool on their counters to store the wine that will most-certainly be consumed in health and in happiness.
Eat, Drink and Be Boxy.
