[Ai-ki-do = The path to harmonizing energy]
Verbal Aikido is now a world renowned means of managing conflict and verbal aggression. It’s an approach in just three steps that even children can put to
use quickly and effectively. Based on the Aikido philosophy of searching for a balanced outcome rather than domination, it applies a verbal approach to preserve both oneself and the other in conflict transformation.
The worldwide success with this approach has been both encouraging and overwhelming - enough to push us to share the techniques and philosophy with as many people as possible. The book 'Verbal
Aikido Green Belt' and the
free resource site just didn't seem enough... and so the Verbal Aikido for Peace World Tour project was born.
Running the project from Lyon, France, the
VAP Tour Team organizes and carries out interactive seminars and workshops for schools, dojos and non-profit
peacebuilding organizations around the globe. The people from diverse backgrounds who have discovered Verbal Aikido are unanimous... it works, it's easy to use, and it's fun to learn! Help us bring this effective means to deal peacefully with verbal violence
to the world!

destination list here.
The long-term goals of the VAP Tour project are to:
- Share easy-to-implement solutions for schools, organizations and families to deal with everyday conflict & verbal violence,
- Provide training for the organizations and individuals wishing to spread the tools in their sector or geographic location,
- Be part of a shift or evolution in interpersonal and international communication, where the will to dominate is replaced by the intention of harmony and balance.
