About Roz-Kaldor-Aroni:
Roz-Kaldor-Aroni has an applied chemistry and law degree as well as an MBA all from UNSW (Sydney). She has worked as a lawyer in private practice and in corporates, a senior manager at Telstra, and as CEO of medical research not for profit called AUSIMED. She has a passionate interest in the science of foods, philanthropy, eating healthier (as she was prediabetic) as well as making ice cream. Her interest started as a hobby initially 10 years ago but became an obsession the more she realized that making exceptional ice cream was all about maths and chemistry. This led her to improve her skills by training as an ice cream artisan in three continents – Australia, Italy, and Canada. Roz and her husband Benni decided to create Elato, Australia’s first ice cream social enterprise, to use Roz’s ice cream skills to give back to the community in a way that enabled these skills to be leveraged and scaled as much as possible.
