Who are we? The Intentional Living Collective (TILC) is a 501C3 nonprofit that serves Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. We host the annual Rising Phoenix Awards, and Celeste Felix-Taylor of the Dominican Republic was the recipient of a 2018 Rising Phoenix Award for sharing her personal story of "rising from the ashes" from her own immigration experience to create inspiring and powerful local programs which benefits and helps other immigrants learn the skills they need to find educational and job opportunities to create better lives for themselves and their families. For more information visit www.the-ilc.org.
What are we doing? We're collaborating with the Toledo Zoo to secure twelve beautiful illuminary (light up) animal display items and donate them to Celeste for use in her annual Winter Wonderland display, starting in November of 2019. Please help us raise the $3,000 needed to purchase and donate these items!
Why are we doing it? To help Celeste spread the light of hope, inspiration, and beauty to the immigrant residents of South Toledo!
Our team. Cal Loo, founder and executive director of The Intentional Living Collective is spearheading the effort, collaborating with TPL-S' Celeste Felix-Taylor and the Toledo Zoo. Taryn Loo is helping with media and project management.
How you can help. You can help by donating any amount to help us purchase the items - just select the reward you want from the list and make your contribution. You can become a "Toledo Illuminary" by sponsoring one of the twelve illuminary items for $200 and Celeste will display that item with a plaque thanking you for your support. We appreciate your help so very much!
