Some people call us super heroes, but no, we are just three awesome siblings who were born and bred in the Parramatta. We share a goal to create the healthiest city possible.
Rosa - The first born and pacifist. Knowing the gluten and sugar content of every meal she consumes is one of many skills this born peacemaker and mother hen possesses. Rosa is a strong believer in the power of the human body and is an advocate for nutritional
eating and planking.
Kaisser - The middle child and idea's man. Generally found wearing monkey printed pants, drinking a decaf mocha (weak, no sugar) and plotting a take-over of the world. Kaisser is a firm believer in the importance of nutritional education to ensure a sustainable
future.
Samantha - The baby and social butterfly. A lover of acupuncture, chai tea and Greek yoghurt, the youngest sibling focuses on the need of a strong mind and soul to achieve holistic balance.
What's the matter Parramatta? Well, we'll tell you:
- Parramatta has one of the highest rates of obesity amongst adults and children.
- We live in the 4th fattest nation in the world, and growing.
- 1 in 3 Australians are obese
- Nearly 55% of adults in Western Sydney are considered overweight or obese with rates among children increasing.
We as a nation have an obligation to stand up and say "This isn't right, we need to change this".
Not quite, but good idea. Picture this:
Parrafit is a 30 day challenge that will focus on Mind. Body. Soul.
The challenge is designed to transform the lives of 30 challengers as they take control of their bodies.
The challengers will become the health and wellbeing leaders of Parramatta (no sash provided)
And no, no-one gets voted off the island.
The challenge is open to all the friendly folks that live in the Parramatta council parametres.
Sex, ethnicity, fitness status does not matter. All we ask is that you're over 18.
