Support community art created in lockdown
The non-profit community art initiative #paddolockdownart seeks your support for the pop-up exhibition and limited edition photobook showcasing the hundreds of artworks created by Paddington residents during Sydney's 2021 lockdown that transformed local shop windows and front porches into a public art exhibition. The photobook Paddo Lockdown Art is produced by #paddolockdownart initiator Barbara Gruber and designer Sylvia Weimer and will be launched at the Saint Cloche Art Gallery on February 28 2022 between 5 - 8 pm.
Your funding support will help with materials and printing required for the all-day pop-up exhibit at Saint Cloche Art Gallery, on February 28, 2022, featuring highlights of this community art initiative as well as photographs of all the shop windows participating in #paddolockdownart.

#paddolockdownart shows how a community can collaborate creatively. Over 8 weeks of lockdown in spring 2021, more than 400 Paddington residents — school children, art teachers and local artists — created 590 artworks which were exhibited in the windows of more than 30 businesses including shops, pubs, cafes, galleries, law firms, creative agencies, and vacant retail properties.
On behalf of all participating artists, we encourage you to buy the Paddo Lockdown Art photobook and please spread the word about the book (it also makes a wonderful gift!) and of the pop-up exhibition at Saint Cloche Art Gallery on February 28.
