Hi Everyone !! Welcome to Noah's Ark Society Center here in Nashville Tennessee.
Join our crowd and help us keep the Center open !!
Your contribution on StartSomeGood will pay for behind the scenes costs, while activities at the Center bring in twice that
amount to save homeless and hurt pets..
Every donation collected at the Center is used to save lost and vulnerable pets.
And more care giving volunteers can be encouraged to work with us.
And the community can be inspired to show others, including our kids, how to be natural caregivers.
And we can change the way future generations, our kids, treat lost homeless vulnerable souls. Animals and
Humans
In this season of giving, make your donation a holiday gift,
or give in honor of someone you love
OUR STORY
Let me introduce you to Lori Elam, the Founder and President of our pet rescue organization.
My animal rescue roots began when I moved to Nashville. The first two weeks I was living in Nashville, I lost both of my dogs, Mandy and Meisha. I was
lucky enough to find Meisha, but never recovered Mandy…my baby! Obviously I was heartbroken, but as the saying goes…”something good always comes from something bad…”—and so it did
While looking for Mandy, I found a wonderful group of animal rescuers who essentially helped me discover my calling. These selfless individuals who
regularly gave generously both of their money and time to help save the cast-offs of society were Nashville’s animal rescue community–and I knew I was home.
Eventually I founded The Noah’s Ark Society. While Noah’s Ark Society continued to work in synergy with other local animal rescue groups, we also began to offer a full range of services to the community including a foster network,
TNR program, equine/livestock rescue division etc.
As I look to tomorrow, I am extremely proud of the work we have all done and continue to do in Nashville’s animal rescue community, and
I highly encourage you to get involved to help create a world with no more homeless pets. After all—
“Animals are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.”
This is Birdie Jane, the pup Lori bottle fed, brings to work and lets us pet for a puppy dog fix!!
As Lori says, the mission of Noah's Ark Society is to rescue, recover and rehome lost, vulnerable animals until there are no more homeless pets. We have lots of help !!
Our volunteers are committed to doing whatever it takes to save animals in need. This is Katya and Hank who saved Suki from roaming the streets of East Nashville in the cold.
We have foster home families who help us keep dogs, cats, horses etc in safe places while we get them medical attention, evaluate their behavior, help them recover from a bad past, and find them a new home.
These are the kittens Carrie found and fostered. After she found and fostered a litter of puppies abandoned under her porch. And adopted two of the puppies. After she adopted BoBo the wonder dog from Noah’s Ark Society and became a volunteer.
We have loyal adopting families who fall in love with a rescued pet and stay our friends for life. This is Meatballs with the new kids in his life. Suzanne and her family love bulldogs and immediately offered to adopt Meatballs, after he
was rescued by a local animal shelter. They have moved from Nashville to New York, so they met us half way to pick up their new very beloved family member !
We have great community partners who help when we ask. This is Dr Klapheke, our vet at Parker's Paws. She responds to all of our medical emergencies and helps prep our rescued pets for their new homes.
We are also proud of our many community supporters who donate pet supplies, give items we can sell at the Center to convert to cash for vet and foster expenses, and follow us on our social media to encourage and help us.
We all stay connected on the internet, and use
FaceBook to find immediate help for pets in danger. And now,
we are connected by the Center which gives us a place to meet and work.
The Center is a very important part of Noah's Ark Society. It gives us high visibility in the community, because everyone who stops by to investigate gets excited about our mission to save all the homeless pets. And they tell their friends
!!
The Center is a place to keep our volunteers engaged, face to face. It takes us beyond our virtual connection to real people, with a real mission, working together. The Center is run by volunteers who are great listeners and love to hear
stories about the pets people love.
Our volunteers rescue for many reasons. The pictures say it all !!
And, the Center attracts the new volunteers we need, even those who never planned to volunteer. For example, Kevin, a runner, stopped by and ended up with a schedule to go pick up our foster dog Keeble and run with him, every other day.
The Center is a great destination for fundraising. Dedicated volunteers and community supporters drop off pet food and supplies. And donate the clothing we convert into cash for pet rescue operations.
We have a community sidewalk sale, Paws on the Pavement, this December 6th, to raise funds for vet bills and fostering expenses.
This year our Pet Giving Tree will be at the Center, so that rescued pets from all over Nashville can be included in our holiday adoption event.
So we really need to keep the Center open, for all of these important reasons. And you can help !!
Your donation will pay for operating expenses, so that every donation collected at the Center can be used to save the lost and vulnerable pets. And more care giving volunteers can be encouraged to work with us. And the community can be inspired to
show others, including our kids, how to be natural caregivers. And we can change the way future generations, our kids, treat lost homeless vulnerable souls. Animals and Humans
Thank you for being in our crowd !! Thank you for your donation !!
Think of it as a present to yourself, while you give to help others who are lost
Together we can START SOME GOOD !!
SUMMARY AND CALL TO ACTION
We are passionate about creating a future of no more homeless pets, no more hurt or vulnerable animals of any kind. We think teaching our children to
be responsible pet care givers is one way to improve the world.
Our Center is a place, a space where caring giving volunteers can teach others, including our kids, how to be natural caregivers, and rescue homeless pets. We think all of
our supporters believe in our mission to save them all.
Your donations help us keep the Center open for one year, for all of these important reasons. A donation of $15 pays for one day of utilities. A donation
of $45 pays for one day of rent. A donation of $100 allows us to stock pet items that bring in more money for us to use on vet bills, pet food and rescue operations.
Make your donation a gift, for this holiday season. We can send thank you emails and rewards as a gift when you give us the information to do that. Or, give
in honor of someone you love. A gift of love for all seasons.
Your help building our crowd also contributes to our mission to rescue homeless pets and save them all. Thank you for sharing on all of your social media
sites, blogging about us and sending personal emails to your friends and family. And telling them in person about the Center !
Thank you for being in our crowd !! Thank you for your donation !!
Give the gift of life to a lost pet, for your family, to change the world
Together we can START SOME GOOD !!
