What is The Mindful Wealth Movement?
Financial wellbeing is an important element of total wellness. If we do not have a good relationship with, or control over our finances then it has the potential to impact our health, relationships, stress levels, sense of purpose and all other areas of our lives.
Our campaign aims to increase the financial capability and wellbeing of vulnerable Australian women. Some women are more vulnerable to financial shocks than others, particularly those who have experienced relationship breakdown, who are single parents or who are not in full-time employment.
The mindful wealth movement is a uniquely feminine financial literacy program that incorporates traditional financial planning concepts with mindfulness, personal development, behavioural change and life skills to build positive money beliefs and behaviours.
With your help we will be able to run more workshops and programs with established additional charity partners in South East Queensland and support vulnerable women to build their financial capability.
Who is founder, Lea Schodel?
Lea Schodel is the founder of The mindful wealth movement. As a financial planner, yoga teacher and writer, Lea’s passion lies in financial wellbeing and teaching women about money in a more holistic and creative way.
Lea was named 2016 Money Management’s Young Achiever of the Year and finalist in the AFA / TAL Female Excellence in Advice and Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) Innovator of the Year. She’s been featured in many publications including ELLE Magazine, The Sydney Morning Herald, Entrepreneur Magazine and The Age, and is a contributor to Wanderlust, OM Times, Yoganomous, Financy, YogiTimes, and Happy Well Magazines.
