If you lived in poverty would you prefer that someone from the other side of the world came and provided you with food only enough to cover your needs for a few weeks - or would
you rather receive help and education through a microfinancing program to start your own business and become self-reliant?
Imagine increasing your income with
600% just over a few years becoming able to feed, educate and provide your children with a better future - that's what the Ghanian woman Comfort Kissawa did with the help and education from The Hunger Project (THP).
THP brings together a community to help local people become agents of their own development through entrepreneurship. When the leadership, commitment and the solutions are their
own, the changes become permanent.
The Hunger Project is a global, non-profit strategic organization committed to the sustainable end of world hunger. In Africa, South Asia and Latin America THP seeks to end hunger
and poverty by empowering people to lead lives of self-reliance and meet their own basic needs.
The one who owns the problem owns the way to change!
Having experienced a great demand for an organization like The Hunger Project (THP) in Denmark, we're now starting up a national branch in Copenhagen, Denmark!
Launching THP Danmark is an exciting challenge. However, we need help covering the adminstrative costs of a lawyer, auditing, and insurance!
In order to raise awareness of the organization we’re planning different events in Copenhagen such as charity runs with THP Sweden, various kinds of events with companies such as
workshops and lectures on social entrepeneurship and workshops at schools and universities.
Once we get the administrative costs out of the way, THP Danmark can take action on these projects!
Support us at one of the levels if you would like to see social entrepreneurs and students from Denmark help locals like Comfort Kissawa climb out of poverty and if you would
like to see such an organization grow!
