We are Josh Ross and Adam McCurdie. Friends for over 10 years, constantly looking at ways to make the world a better place by better using its resources. We come from finance and management consulting backgrounds and are passionately exploring ways to use our skills in the most impactful way.
We found the opportunity in online events ticketing. The rest as they say is history.......

SOME CONTEXT
Every year ticketing companies make billions of dollars by offering a standard ticketing service. We found ourselves frustrated paying high booking fees, whether its for festivals, conferences, gala dinners, or any ticketed event.
HERE'S THE PROBLEM
The booking & payment fees don't go to the event organiser or entertainers! It goes to the software companies, not the artists, speakers, musicians or decor. It doesn't have to be this way!
We can't solve the problem of booking fees - the reality is the software is required, and it does cost money. But rather than lining the pockets of software companies, let's donate the profits to charitable causes we all care about!
SO WHAT ARE WE DOING?
Enter Humanitix, a philanthropic ticketing platform which donates the profit from the booking & payment fee to a charity of the event organisers choice.
We launched our own online Ticketing platform in August 2016. Initially we planned to ticket 12 small events before Christmas, but ended up doing 40, creating $8,000 in donations to charity. This year we are on track to far exceed $180,000 in revenue, which at our current size will mean $50,000 donated to charities, and this number is growing every week!
WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP
We need your help to support our future growth. Since August, we have learnt a fortune about what we need in order to capture the rest of the market and seriously scale this platform to create tens of millions of dollars for charities every year! We are putting in another $17,000 of our own money in but need to raise a further $13,000 to fund the infrastructure that will enable the scaling of our platform.
By 2018 we are hoping to be donating in excess of $300,000 to charity, and by 2020 over $1,000,000 per annum. We already exceeded our initial targets 2016 target, so we are looking to smash these as well!
Also, help us smash these targets by referring events to Humanitix! This can be music festivals, industry gala dinners, conferences, charity events..... anything ticketed :)
