Kayayo (plural Kayayei) is the local name given to a head porter in Ghana. A kayayo helps buyers in the city's markets carry their purchases to their cars. Kayayei are mostly teenage girls migrating from the rural north of Ghana to the southern cities like Kumasi and Accra in search of a better life. Unfortunately, most of these girls live in very deplorable conditions as they come to find that the living they can make from being a kayayo is significantly lower than hoped for.
- What are we doing?
In a pandemic of the nature of COVID-19, Kayayei are some of the most vulnerable groups of persons. Help us keep them safe with your donations. With your help, we hope to donate face shields and face masks to 20,000 kayayei.

- Why are we doing it?
Most of these ladies have migrated from the rural north into the southern cities like Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi and have found this as a way to earn a living. This is not much of a living; they sleep outside and most can afford only a meal a day. We have decided that we are in a position to use technology to shine a light on their plight and make a difference at a time like this. We view this a social responsibility
