Our Story
Growing up we were all lucky enough for someone to introduce us to the game of golf. For me, it was when I was 12 years old and started working as a caddy. But what about the people that don't have someone to introduce them to the game of golf? What about the boys and girls that don't live the country club life style, such as the child of a single parent growing up in a urban community? They don't get to develop their talent or skill in golf because it is out of reach for them even though they just might be the next Tiger Woods or Jack Nicklaus. These are the individuals we want to give the gift of golf to just like someone gave us the gift when we were kids. This project is a promise to bring the game of golf to as many community parks as possible so every boy and girl in that area can learn the game of golf by walking down to the corner park. The Octa Golf Association Initiative wants every boy, girl, or adult that wants to develop that talent for golf to be allowed to learn the game regardless of any obstacles.
Our ambitious Start Some Good Project is for any of level golfer, teacher of golf, or new player. If you've always wanted to learn the game and never had the chance too then keep reading because this is your golden ticket to learning the game in a totally different way and true to the fundamentals of the game.
Our Budget
We are seeking $24,000 in funding to build our Golf Exercise Equipment Area to rent to public and private spaces. The prototype will also be used for showcasing to elected officials for our Non-Profit Foundation Golf Park Initiative side of the company. For us, this is very exciting because we get to make an impact in community's that would never have access to golf. Golf Park Initiative Exercise Areas aims at permanent locations inside Local Community Parks located throughout South Florida.
Top 10 Results for funding our Golf Exercise Area Initiative:
1. Lower golf scores.
2. Golf industry veteran looking for an economical way to grow the game of golf in a community.
3. Save money.
4. Learn key fundamentals to the game naturally.
5. Confidence at the course.
6. Save time.
7. Don’t have to chase after the golf ball.
8. First time players don’t get intimidated.
9. Get outdoors.
10. Unplug from technology.
We request $24,000 in financial support to build our Golf Exercise Equipment Prototype. The prototype will be used for:
A. Octa Golf Association Mobile Tour. This is a Golf Exercise Rental business.
B. Golf Park Initiative. Which is the Non-Profit side of our Mobile Tour and Showcasing / Promotional Model.
The
rental side of the business Octa Golf Association Mobile Tour OGAM Tour
allows the opportunity to create advanced marketing platforms in and
around golf in corporate and private settings. We rent this
unit by the day with brand ambassadors collecting important customer or
patron information, survey's, and brand ambassadorship. It also allows clients to distribute gifts or discounts to customers that accurately hit a golf ball to our digital targets on the prototype.
As Octa Golf is a Mobile Tour grows we have monthly and yearly winners. By participating in the Mobile Tour new and seasoned players get to discover another way to participate in this awesome game. We make it easy, effective, and inexpensive to learn. The best part of the Mobile Tour is your fundamentals
are tested. THE OCTA
GOLF ASSOCIATION MOBILE TOUR AND GOLF PARK INITIATIVE PUSH THE
BOUNDARIES OF GOLF.
The Golf Park Initiative side allows for
community leaders to see how effective this shared space is for golfers
and non-golfers to be enrolled in bringing this exercise unit to their local community parks. For us there’s more to the Game in Golf then just hitting a ball around the course. Golf Park Initiative make it so you can right down to the park and learn the game. It's much easier to connect with family, friends, and fun golf fundamentals.
So if you like
golf, teach golf, or were always interested in the game and want to help
expand this program then your financial support is appreciated. If not
then I thank you for reading our Start Some Good Project.
How You Can Help
Currently were looking for $24,000 to build our prototype to start renting our Octa Golf Association Mobile Tour and showcase the Golf Park Initiative to Parks and Recreation Officials. It’s
in our heart to support our vision then we are looking for Team Members or Associates.
Now met one of our Associates the multiple Hall of Fame recipient the "Dean of Golf" Mr. Bob Toski.

Mr. Toski is a legend in the game. Golf Park Initiative was created out of conversations with Mr. Toski. His passion for the game is unmatched. At 90 years old he's still a single digit handicap. Don't take our word for it read what Jerry Tarde Editor and Chief of Golf Digest had to say about Mr. Toski.
"I wanted to say that you were just about the most important pioneer in golf magazine publishing, that you were integral to the development of written golf instruction, that you are the most creative, innovative teacher ever to grace the pages of Golf Digest, That you “invented” the Golf instruction school concept, that you were the last great player (in the footsteps of Tommy Armour, Paul Runyan and Claude Harmon) to dedicate himself to teaching golf. That you were the first of the modern tour guru, that you are to the teaching profession what Palmer is to the pro tour, That you wrote the best book I’ve ever read on golf instruction…..and that you are one of the finest human beings ever to play the game. And you’re a helluva friend."
2. Artist / Designer: Thomas O'Connor

This project has been in the back of my mind with ups and downs, twists and turns. The African Proverb - “It takes a village to raise a child,” comes to mind. With the Golf Parks Initiative we want the village.
As an artist I'm always working alone while painting images, carving with wood, or working with clay. It’s all about me. So the idea of creating something magical like this functional golf training space for Public Parks with a team is exciting.
Mr. Toski love for the game and teaching people inspired me to create Golf Parks Initiative. Below is one of my paintings of another legend Mr. Jimmy Demaret. He took Mr. Toski under his wing and showed him the ropes on tour. This painting is very special because it represents a golden era of golf that is almost gone from our listening
