Working part-time as a massage therapist for seven years, I've seen a lot of different clients come to me for help. Over those seven years, I've noticed more and more military members seeking help. Many of them need to receive less care because of the costs
of a single session.
So, after seven years, I've decided to expand my practice and really make a difference. I recently upgraded my massage table and much of the actual massage equipment & linens, which is that much less that needs to be raised.
In order to get started, there are a lot of up-front start up costs that are piling up: New Hampshire incorporation fees, multiple Massachusetts license fees, beginning marketing costs and travel costs.

$2,400 Tipping Point Goal
In order to get this project going, a total of $7500 needs to be raised.
The first $2400 will pay for the incorporation fees as a Limited Liability Corporation in the state of New Hampshire, massage licensure in the state of Massachusetts (where services will also be performed) and phone/internet services for the initial year.
The remaining goal of $5100 will pay for office equipment, marketing supplies (business cards, letterhead, brochures, etc.), some travel expenses and office organization supplies.
Hitting the tipping point would be a great start, allowing the word-of-mouth to spread and grassroots marketing to begin.
But the biggest impact will be made when the total goal is met. Then the area's military families will be able to reap the benefits of massage therapy for themselves and their loved ones.
