Wouldn't it be great if there was an easy way to find what you need to make a real difference? Think opportunities, knowledge and resources - designed to support everyone working hard for the environment.
And what if these great people were able to connect with Australia's leading environmental organisations and individuals, from wherever they're located, breaking down some of the traditional barriers to positive environmental outcomes?
Our mission is to boost the capability of Australia's environmental community through connection, learning, promotion and collaboration.
In January 2016, we launched a central knowledge hub to support busy environmental leaders, decision-makers, researchers, innovators, practitioners, change-makers and other interested parties from across the sector. Already it's working and the network is growing.
Here's why people join:
- They need to keep up with what's happening across the ever changing environmental sector
- They want an easier way to find what they need to deliver really outstanding results
- They want a regular dose of inspiration and environmental good news
- They want a single place to find good, reliable, environmental information
- They need continued training, development and support to do their amazing work and
- They want others to know about the great work they do.
We've done a lot already but we need your help!
Your support will help us take the central knowledge hub to the next level and share this valuable service widely across Australia's environmental community. Together we can make a real difference.
About the online hub...
As part of the central knowledge hub, we've launched a free National Environmental Directory. It's a great place to find (and share) your environmental events, jobs, awards, grants, tenders and panels. You'll also find lots of other tools to support your work including articles and webinars. And this is just the beginning.
We're convinced that the best solutions come from collaboration among
people with diverse perspectives. That's why no matter what specialist
area you work in, what level of experience you have or where you're
from, if you're ready to work together to support positive environmental
change, then we'd love for you to join us.
It's completely free to find and share listings in the National Environmental Directory. That means you can advertise your environmental jobs, events, awards and grants, panels and tenders and individual and organisational listings at no charge.
To support the long term sustainability of the National Environmental Directory, there are also options to become a premium Subscriber or Partner. This means that your work will be featured and showcased across EnviroSource and even more as the network grows.
About us...
Neil Taylor and Christine Bell developed EnviroSource as a social enterprise. Our purpose is to facilitate, encourage and promote positive environmental outcomes whilst being financially sustainable, so we can continue to support the community that we serve.
Australia has a dynamic environmental community. And we believe that by sharing our different backgrounds, talents and ideas with each other, we'll be better equipped to tackle the environmental challenges that we're facing.
We're very grateful for the incredible support and encouragement that we've received from the following organisations:
- The Centre for Sustainability Leadership (both Neil and Christine are alumni of this incredible organisation)
- The Queensland Government's WetlandInfo program and
- All of the great individuals and organisations that have already supported this initiative by joining the National Environmental Directory.
Plus the great team behind the Make Change Happen Manual, which we've included with all of our rewards.
What people are saying...
You can be part of all the action…
If (like us!) you're passionate about great environmental outcomes, there are heaps of ways you can get involved:
- You can check out the rewards (over on the right of the screen) and click on whichever option takes your fancy.
- You can visit the EnviroSource website and get connected with your own free listing in the National Environmental Directory as well as regular updates to help you 'find what you need' to deliver great environmental outcomes in your work and your community.
- You can reach out and say hello. Perhaps you like what you see and you're keen to suggest a way we might be able to work together.
- You can share this campaign on social media as well as with your friends and colleagues via email and, in doing so, earn our enduring gratitude. The more people and organisations that get on board, the more value the central knowledge hub will provide to you and the rest of the community.
- You can follow us on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to get the latest updates from across Australia's environmental community.
Thanks for your support. We look forward to supporting your great work!
