Empowering HS Students through entrepreneurship
Help us run 5 high school entrepreneurial programs for FREE for schools in Western Sydney, empowering 500 students to make their dreams a reality.
What are we going to do?
Generation Entrepreneur will be running five entrepreneurship programs for five schools. This will provide the program free of charge and will allow students to embark upon their entrepreneurial journey.
They will pitch their initial business ideas, form teams with likeminded students, work and pitch their business to a panel of professional judges. They will be mentored by some of the most established entrepreneurs in Sydney, those that have created, scald and sold businesses to provide expertise to students.
Why are we doing this?
Our young generation are the future, yet consistently we hear dissatisfaction about the education system. We started Generation Entrepreneur as year 11s in 2014 because we felt that school put us in a box of subjects that we had no interest in. It demotivated and bored us. Students are increasingly believing that they are inadequate, they won't taste success because of their grades, but that's far from the truth.
The truth is the world is wonderful - we need to make sure our students realise that the future will be fantastic. This is only possible if our students are excited by the future. We need to show them that they can create the future they want to see.
We have created a program for school where students attend a business camp to create their own ventures, where they can pursue their passions and make it a reality. We can show them that it's not education, intelligence or experience which differentiates success, it's the passion of improve the world and determination to make it happen. which will help us make this country a better place for all of us.
The team
This is our young team, made up of 25 students ranging from 16 to 21 years old. These are the passionate faces behind a movement to change education.
