Small charities do amazing work but they have a big problem. They can’t afford good photographers and filmmakers to help them tell their story. Without a story, you can’t fundraise. Without funds you can’t carry on.
I am looking to raise £20,000 to fund 6 trips to visit 10 small charities in 2018. These trips will provide charities working in Africa and Asia with thousands of images, videos and stories that will transform the way they raise awareness and get funding for their incredible work.
This money will also help give opportunities to photographers, writers and filmmakers based in the UK, Africa and Asia to work for Taking Pictures, Changing Lives, so even more inspiring stories can be told and more lives changed.
Help us give opportunities to these charities so they get the attention they deserve and can continue their life changing work.
By investing in this project you can help support charities that don’t have the resources, funds or media support of the big charities. Small charities that have huge hearts to see poverty stricken communities, full of incredible people, changed for good.

MY STORY
My name is Adam. I live in St Albans near London in the UK. I work as a photographer and designer but my real passion is photography. I just absolutely love taking photos. Especially photos that can make a real difference.
In the last 8 years I have made 52 visits to charity projects and partners in Africa and Asia, flown the equivalent of 15 times round the world, (one and a half times to the moon) spent more than 14 months abroad documenting the work of 18 small charities working in 10 countries and gifted over 60,000 photos to those charities.
I have photographed and filmed in Uganda, Kenya, Togo, Tanzania, Malawi, Rwanda, Zambia, Ghana, India and Sri Lanka, as well as the UK and Europe.
To continue providing visual resources, help and assistance to small charities across Africa and Asia I am looking for your help.
CROWDFUNDING
Over the last 3 years my work has been supported by crowdfunding campaigns. I told my story to the world and so many people have supported me. They invested over £40,000. And what a difference it has made!

ABOUT TAKING PICTURES, CHANGING LIVES
Taking Pictures, Changing Lives is a non profit Community Interest Company.
Working with UK & International charities, to provide high quality photography and film footage, we help communities in some of the poorest countries in the world.
By sharing the stories of these communities, and bringing the work of the charities to life visually, we help transform the way they get attention, raise awareness and increase their funding. The charities that we support haven’t many resources of their own; yet they help restore dignity, purpose and hope to people who can then sustain livelihoods, gain education and provide futures for their communities.
