supporting new social enterprise projects in the city of BANYULE
Banyule Social Enterprises to watch
Banyule has earned a reputation as one of Victoria’s hotspots for social enterprise, and for good reason. It was the first council in Victoria to adopt a dedicated Social Enterprise Strategy, putting social enterprise firmly on the local agenda back in 2020.
Since then, a growing mix of social enterprises, community organisations, local businesses and supporters has helped build momentum across Banyule. It means new social enterprises are emerging in a community where buying for good, creating inclusive jobs and backing local ideas are already part of the conversation.
We’ve handpicked some of the leading social enterprises in Banyule and compiled the following case studies. 5 of the case studies are spotlighting our Pitch for Good Banyule cohort, as well as 7 other social enterprises we engaged with in 2026. Read the report or watch the videos below!
