Hi, my name is John and I'm here to talk to you about A Little Less.
A little less can mean a variety of things. It can mean a little less money, a little less fortunate, a little less lucky. It can mean whatever you'd like it to mean. What it means to me is helping someone who has a little less than you.
And that is the only goal of this group.
WHY
I decided to start this because in all honesty, I got tired of being lazy and not helping people. I have been very lucky to have nearly everything I could ever ask for in this world and it is time to start giving back. We're all clearly
capable of doing it, so, I decided I could be a way to not only have myself help, but you help those who are less fortunate than yourself.
THE PLAN
My goal is to raise money for local food pantries to help feed and provide for those with a little less. So, once we hit at least $200, I'll be headed to the local grocery store and purchasing food, clothes, and other items to donate to
food pantries all over the southeastern Wisconsin area. Once I have the items, I'll load up my Kia Rio and deliver them. I'll be deciding what to purchase based on what the food pantries need. I'll call before I do my 'shopping' and buy accordingly. That way
your money is being used in the best way possible. I'll also be posting pictures so you know that this is actually happening (also, who doesn't love pictures of a Kia Rio filled with a ton of food?)
HOW LONG WILL YOU BE DOING THIS?
This will not be a one time event. I will be doing this for the foreseable future because I'm only 24 and I plan on living quite awhile.
WRAP UP
So, this is where you come in. If you'd like to donate, that'd be great! I don't care how much you donate or even if you donate at all. At the very least, just tell someone about this. If you do that, then you've done your part. If you want
to donate, that's very nice and I thank you for your donation! It will be put to great use to help out those who have a little less than yourself.
Just a key note here - I will not be keeping any of this money, it will not help me pay for gas, or my student loans. It will 100% go to those less fortunate than us.
So, if you'd like to help, I'd like to be the first to say thank you for giving to those with a little less.
Thanks and let me know if you have any questions!
- John
