The Flint, Michigan water crisis (lead poisoning doubling) demands immediate attention and this project is our wish to contribute. When we hear of sixth grade honors students being moved into special needs classes due to lead poisoning, it's heart-breaking. Watch full explanation HERE.
CLEARLY, FLINT IS A PLACE THAT NEEDS ALL OF OUR HELP NOW. THAT'S WHAT THIS CAMPAIGN IS ABOUT.
Access to clean water is a human right, yet the majority of schools don't provide clean water to their students.
Due to lack of water access, sugar sweetened beverages are 25% of a child's calories. This consumption of excess sugar is at the heart of the diabetes epidemic. (Harvard School of Public Health). Kids need to know the importance of drinking water and be confident in the water they are offered. We champion water culture in schools through updating water fountains, distributing water bottles and educating the community about the benefits of water.
