1WORLD-KIDS Because Together We Can





1WORLD-KIDS.COM -  An online resource for kids. Created to deliver information for a global world. 


We live in a truly global world where our actions directly affect the lives and livelihoods of others, but our teaching methods fail to teach our children about how our lives impact the lives of others.  


1WORLD-KIDS believe that if we want to secure change, then we must first educate our children so that they have a greater understanding of the world they live in giving them the knowledge they need to make more informed choices
in their day-to day lives.


1WORLD-KIDS has been 5 years in the making, researching gathering and compiling news and information about the world and developing an online space that would be the foundation of our work. 


The 1WORLD-KIDS website has been written to complement education and delivers a truly 'global' perspective to climate change and the world. Helping children recognise that everything we do has consequences and that by making simple
changes to the way we live our lives, that we may just help save the life of another.


We believe that it is time for us all to consume less, appreciate more, take time to give thanks for all that we have and learn compassion for all those that have nothing, not because of who they are, but simply because of where
they live.


Our children deserve an opportunity to grow and live whilst having the knowledge they need to help them make more informed choices that will help them secure a brighter future not just for us but for all of mankind...

And that is exactly what we aim to do, one child at a time. 


 


BECAUSE TOGETHER WE CAN… A CAMPAIGN FOR CHANGE


Because Together We Can is a springboard for long-term, positive change, your support will help us take the first giant step forward, a step that will help us deliver joined-up education for all.  


Launching the 1WORLD-KIDS art competition will help us engage with out target audience, and bring children together. The 1WORLD-KIDS art competition will invite children (8-15) to get creative and design the official 1WORLD-KIDS
t-shirt.


The entries will all feature in an online gallery and each design can be voted for by the public.  The winning designs will go on to become part of the 1WORLD-KIDS Because Together We Can Exhibition that we plan to host in public
spaces and libraries, (using copies of the designs) and with fact boards and information boards adding to the overalls effect.


The winning design in each age category will be made into the 'official' 1WORLD-KIDS 2014 t-shirt. The winning entries and top designs will also be used the 1WORLD-KIDS photo journal and stationery helping us to extend our reach
and help deliver joined up education to more children across the globe.


 


Join Us, Because Together We Can...


With children at the heart of everything we do we will also be looking to develop our core site to include a community forum so children can begin to share stories about their lives and develop into an online
community for common good.


The 1WORLD-KIDS Because Together We Can Campaign, will see our website being translated into Spanish, Punjabi and Mandarin helping us to break down the barriers of language and helping us to create a platform for global education helping to empower children
everywhere to be the change.  


We will also use 'Because Together We Can' to help us develop a comprehensive direct marketing strategy that we can use to take the 1WORLD-KIDS monthly newsletters into schools and libraries everywhere.


If we are fortunate enough to secure all our funding we will be able to successfully launch and sell our first book all the profits raised would be used to help us launch our, children's fund raising campaign.


"It just takes 5 " will invite children across the globe to raise 5.00 £ $ or Euros however they want and nominate charities that they want their money to support this would become an annual event.


We believe that by working together we can secure a much needed change that will not just be good for us but will be good for all of mankind.

The Because Together We Can campaign will help us on our journey to deliver education that will inspire children everywhere to be the change.


Because Together We Can


1) Competition:  The Because Together We Can campaign is about extending our reach and key to this will be the 1WORLD-KIDS design a t-shirt competition. A competition that will invite children (8-15) to submit their design for the 1WORLD-KIDS
t-shirt. 


Children will be asked to pick up their pens and pencils and submit a design that they would like to adorn our fabulous organic t-shirts.


(Children can submit the completed design or, alternativley they will be able to take a photo of their design and submit it electronically - all winning entrants will be required to submit their original design)  


To ensure we gain maximum exposure & entrants for our competition we will use a proportion of funds raised to run an on and offline marketing campaign. 


The entries will all be available to see online in a fabulous online gallery and the winning designs from each age group will be voted for by the public...


Set-up costs: £ 2,175


-Exhibition: The winning designs from the competition will form the basis of the Because Together We Can exhibition that
we can host online and in public spaces everywhere.

-Creation of a photo book: To celebrate the Because Together We Can competition, we will create a photo book featuring the winning designs The photo book will also include pages of inspirational text.

-Creation of poster/stationery:  The 1WORLD-KIDS - Because Together We Can stationery will be available to buy online helping us to build brand and can form part of our future children's fund raising efforts.

If we successfully exceed our tipping point, we will then have the opportunity to take not just another momentous step but help develop a renewed sense of responsibility and care that goes beyond the classroom to help children everywhere.


 


2) Development: We live in a truly interconnected world, and we believe that it is time to celebrate technology and utilise it so that we can help our children learn, develop and grow the funds raised will help us deploy the skills of an
online expert who can help advise us to create & develop our community pages that will be a meeting place for kids where they can share stories of their lives, talk about community projects and exchange ideas -an interactive space for social good.


Outsourced development costs £3,250


3) Translation: We believe that if we can reduce language barriers we can open up new possibilities. The Because Together We Can campaign looks to enhance our core web site and make it more accessible to children across the globe, and this
requires translation.


Initially we will focus on three key languages mainly, Spanish, Punjabi and Mandarin, helping us to deliver knowledge to children across the globe.


We believe that by helping to break down the barriers associated with language, we can achieve a global classroom, where children can communicate, learn and grow.

4) Direct /Online Marketing: Part of the costs show will enable us to run an effective marketing campaign that will help us become the number  one resource of choice for kids across the globe.

5) Creation & Publication Of The 1WORLD-KIDS Book & ebook:
With all the funds secured we would have the necessary funds to create and publish our first, 1WORLD-KIDS book of knowledge that will feature not just sections on people, place and planet but will also provide top-tips to healthy living, giving thanks,
fund raising ideas and much more.
