Breaking Heels is a social enterprise, which transforms the collective power of consumers into a financial force against commercial sexual exploitation and other forms of violence against women.

About 1.5 years ago, it dawned on our team that women suffer way too much for fashion. We love our high heel shoes, but the pain is a lot to go through! After a lot of work with some amazing engineers and entrepreneurs, we found a way to create a height adjustable shoe!

$25,000 will help us finish our patent(s) and create injection molds
$50,000 will allow us manufacture a pilot batch of height adjustable shoes below!

Our technology is being developed in partnership with Joy For Ever BV. The high height adjustable shoe changes from a high heel to a short heel in one quick motion. To see our prototype in action, watch our video!

With each pair of shoes sold, we'll share stories of survivors, the mission and meaning of Breaking Heels and build a brand-based awareness movement about commercial sexual exploitation.

When you buy a pair, a portion of the proceeds go towards scholarship opportunities for survivors as well as funding for demand-reduction programs to combat human trafficking and sexual exploitation. 

We were inspired to call this line "Breaking Heels" because it is a phrase popularly used to describe women who are forcefully prostituted by pimps and traffickers. We're claiming it back and making it a positive statement.

We are breaking heels against sexual violence one shoe at a time!

Your help today will bring this shoe to market by raising funds to create injection molds for our height adjustable high heel shoe. The funds raised (at total goal of $50K) will also help us manufacture existing designs, all inspired by survivors. Our goal is to create a fully financially sustainable organization, so that all of our programs can be self financed by our products.
