Our mission:
To empower persons with disabilities, vulnerable women, and their communities to access better socio-economic change to drive their own sustainable development.
This crowdfunding campaign is to establish “Social Enterprise for People with Disabilities and Women” (SEDW) to create employment for people with disabilities and vulnerable women who earn less than $2 per day.
Problem and Issues
- According to World Report on Disability 2011, there are more than a billion people, about 15% of the world population, in the world today experience disability. People with disabilities have generally poorer health, lower education achievements,
fewer economic opportunities and higher rates of poverty than people without disabilities. This is largely due to the lack of services available to them and the many obstacles they face in their everyday lives.
- There are 5% of people are living with disabilities (CSES survey 2012). Their disabilities were caused from land mine injuries, traffic accident, diseases, old ages, and congenital.
- They’re facing many barriers in their daily life, lack access to appropriate quality and affordable healthcare, employment, micro-economic, rehabilitation, and education services. This prevents them from full and effective participation in the society.
These lead them and families to living in poverty. They are discriminated against, hopeless; right abused, excluded, and unemployment from social development.

with disabilities and women to continue their employment within the sewing center.
