Pitch for Good
Pitch for Good is a live pitch event series, showcasing some of the best emerging social entrepreneurs in Australia.
Instead of giving all the decision-making power to a panel of judges, Pitch for Good empowers the audience to select your favourites and donate the value of your event ticket to their projects.
Pitch for Good can run as a standalone pitch event, or more often than not, it’s a bigger collaboration to support social enterprises to learn, grow, and raise funds. We’ve worked with councils around Australia to deliver place-based, bespoke Pitch for Good programs – most recently in Banyule (VIC, Australia) and Parramatta (NSW, Australia).
Parramatta
The City of Parramatta is StartSomeGood’s longest standing partnership, with the first Pitch for Good Parramatta running in 2016! We’ve continued to run the program every year since – with the except of a few years due to the covid-19 pandemic.
In 2025 alone, the program supported 6 social enterprises to raise over $56,000 during their 30 day crowdfunding campaigns! This included the funds raised at our Pitch for Good live event, and matched funding contributions from City of Parramatta and Gateway Bank.
Banyule
In 2026 we delivered the inaugural Pitch for Good Banyule and it was a fantastic success! Over the course of this bespoke program, StartSomeGood has engaged with 60 social enterprises in Melbourne’s northern council region, including 5 social enterprise who participated in our hands-on crowdfunding campaign support.
Our 5 Banyule social enterprises collectively raised $80,000 – congratulations to everyone involved! We’re excited to see what the future holds for Pitch for Good in the Banyule region.
Circular Economy

In 2025 StartSomeGood & Circular Economy Club Sydney collaborated to deliver Pitch for Good: Circular Economy! Funded by the City of Sydney and brought to life with the support of Boomerang Labs, this topic-specific event brought together a fantastic crowd, all eager to hear from up and coming circular economy startups in Sydney.
This collaboration ran as a standalone event rather than a social enterprise support program, like that which we deliver with councils. We’re open to exploring the right approach for your social impact area, and your community.
