Everyone wants to do good, we in Australia are very privileged to be living in a developed society and be able to gain an education but people in many other countries such as India can’t say the same. Deep down in our hearts we all want to help and here
is a great opportunity.
Meet Alessandra Kitinas ,a 14-year-old Aussie kid through whom you can extend your hearts and arms to do some good. We would think that most 14 year old girls would care about clothes and makeup but Alessandra has a different passion, a passion to help
the under privileged.
The good she is doing
All of us in Australia are registered when we are born whatever our socio economic status and have access to health and Medical care, we are not unknown, but there are some who are born in the streets of Kolkata, India who don’t exist - their is no record
of their birth, their existence, their death, they are not entitled to food, shelter, healthcare or basic rights as a human being to be acknowledged as existing. It was researched that it takes only
87 cents a year to keep a child alive in India by providing the necessary healthcare. Shocked? So was Alessandra and she was motivated to do something. On August 12,2015 she launched her own social charity called the 87cents
project in collaboration with The HOPE foundation in India. She is aiming to raise funds to provide healthcare and medical support to 80,000 non-registered inhabitants in Kolkata.
She is very eager to visit Kolkata and feel for herself what it's like living in that environment. I want to raise funds to support her mission. I believe that her trip to India will enrich her motivation to change the fate of more underpriviledged people.
Her Inspiration
Alessandra was inspired after her mother shared my story with her.
I,Kathy Wong am the founder and CEO of the social cause brand named Moeloco. When I discovered that there are over 300 million children globally loosing their lives or unable to attend school because of their lack of footwear, I knew I needed to help.

Moeloco
Moeloco is a social enterprise dedicated to changing the lives of children living in extreme poverty. We have adopted the parallel giving, one for one approach.
For every pair of Moelocos sold, they donate one pair of school shoes to underprivileged children in India.
We do this through their charity partner the Hope foundation.
Alessandra is now the teen ambassador for Moeloco. She is also the youth ambassador for positive minds, an education programme, empowering young Australian girls with self worth and confidence.
The HOPE event
In October 2015, the Hope foundation is organizing a concert. The children from all the orphanages they support will be participating. People from all across the globe are flying in to share in the happiness of these little children and Alessandra would
love to be a part of it.
I would like to support Alessandra by raising $2500 to cover her expenses for her trip to India.
