Zimba saves lives by making village water treatment cheap and easy with a simple device that automatically treats water at handpumps.
A world where every family has access to safe water.
The Zimba doser is a simple device that attaches to a handpump and automatically treats all water as it is collected, dramatically increasing water safety for rural communities or urban slums.
In an initial pilot, 4 dosers were installed in slums in Bangladesh. These Zimba dosers have earned enthusiastic reviews from people using them, and they continue to serve 86 families with safe water. The Zimba team is working on the next iteration of our design and scaling up to reach more families with our safe water technology.
Suprio Das, the original inventor, quit his job as an electrical engineer to devote his time to solving problems that poor communities face. Over the past three years, an international team of engineers and business folk has formed around Suprio. We are all passionate about finding convenient, low cost, high impact ways to provide safe water to the families that need it most.
Join us in building a world where every family has access to safe water. Help us to take the next steps in scaling up - improve our design and manufacturing quality and reach out to make safe water possible in communities near Kolkata, India.
