Urban Community School a K-8 school in Cleveland OH has lost its Art Club due to lack of funds & a teacher. Help us get this club back for these inner city children.
Urban Community School is an elementary school serving Gr. K-8 for families located within the City of Cleveland OH. The school serves 430 students. Most of Urban's families live below the poverty level, and 47% live on $15,000 or less annually. With Urban’s school day ending at 2:30pm, the school provides a dedicated After-Care Program for families wanting a safe and enriching environment. Part of that was a weekly Art Club which gave students a positive, creative and fun outlet in the afternoon. This popular club used a wide array of artistic mediums like paint, clay, and even pillows!
Urban's Art Club no longer has money for supplies and they have lost their teacher.

Kidzart Ohio, another after school art club wants to help; with their purchasing power they can get the best possible supplies at the lowest price. They can also provide a dedicated art instructor.
That’s where we need your help. In order to provide 18 weeks (1 semester) we need $2400 to provide staff and materials for the club. These classes are being provided at no additional cost for the students or their families.

Our tipping point is $1320 for a semester of art instruction by a certified teacher; $2400 includes the dedicated art instructor and enough supplies for all students over the course of 18 weeks. Any amounts over that will first go to extra supplies and salary for more classes.
