You can't solve any of the world's problems without love. We will use fashion & outreach to spread love, engage, and empower our communities.

It is not often that a retail chain store is seen as promoting compassion, literacy, supporting charities, and keeping it hip at the same time. My friend and I began the Definition of Nyce (The DON) because we wanted to do something that would have a long term positive impact on young people in our cities. We also wanted to make sure we were empowering and helping the charities and non-profits that were already working with this population. We created a very hip line of distinct apparel that would appeal to the edginess of our cities’ young people and we have been partnering with local charities to create events that promote their good work, raise money, and spread the message of the DON. We plan to host events (art, fun & educational) in retail stores throughout the United States to draw a crowd and create recognition of the brand and partner organizations.
From the very beginning, we decided that our profits will go to charities that work with inner city youth. Many companies donate to charities when it is convenient, after they began to make enough to do so. We began the DON with the sole purpose of supporting our young people and the organizations that work hard every day to help them live more productive and meaningful lives.
The DON is not a line of tee shirts. It is a lifestyle choice. It is a lifestyle of open mindedness, honesty, compassion, and integrity. Everyone who wears a DON shirt is telling all of their friends that they have made a commitment to a life of decency and honor. This is what retailers will get to promote in their stores. With our passionate community outreach we have the people power to host events at store locations and bring a significant crowd covering a vast demographic.
From the streets to the schools, to the radios and the nightclubs, youth and young adults are making it hip to be humanitarian, and using fashion to spread love, smiles, and happiness. This is nothing but a WIN for any store selling our product. This support from the retail stores will validate our brand and introduce us to their current customer base. It will be an opportunity to raise even more funds for the orginzations supporting our communities.

The use of funds will be to manufacture t-shirts to 1) give away as rewards during events and 2) sell at events, online & in retail stores.
We would also like to pay for the DJ & equipment to provide music at the events (events such as an art showcase, book signing, dance contest etc.)
If we reach our tipping point goal of $3,750 we can produce a total of 500 store-ready shirts ($7.50 each). Once this tipping point is reached, we will have enough inventory and momentum to begin the campaign.
With $15,000 we can produce 2,000 shirts; 4 to 8 different styles ($6 each) and also afford to pay the DJ $300 per event.
