North America is facing a dangerous shortage in young people interested in farming. Farmers are retiring and selling off their land. Small organic farmers face an even tougher struggle to get started, stay in business and stave off developers. Our goal is to collect together information from successful organic farmers on how to be successful too, a task that has never been completed on the vast scale that we want to do. We want to give young organic farmers the best chance possible. To do this we are writing a book (The Organic Farmer's Sourcebook) by traveling 8,000 miles interviewing organic farmers, and at the same time documenting our journey on Youtube.
