News From Nowhere aims to provide an open-access literary publication for the people of Wyoming to express themselves through poetry, fiction, opinion pieces, music reviews, cartoons, and photography.
News From Nowhere publishes a free weekly paper for public consumption and interaction, including a popular comprehensive one-page entertainment and events calendar. We allow anyone to publish their work in our paper, whether that work be words or graphics. Additionally, we only sell ads and distribute the paper to locally-owned businesses that we support.
I am a 25-year-old writer with 14 years of work experience in broadcast and print media (worked in both at the same time for many years), in both production and management positions. I have worked as a reporter, a columnist, a news editor, a radio board operator, an audio production director, and general manager of a radio station. I worked for four years with the local university's student government to plan, launch, and run a student radio station. I am a self-described writer, journalist, political theorist, and social justice advocate.
