Enabling Australian primary school students to dream, invent and change their world by harnessing their entrepreneurial nature and creating micro businesses.
"It takes a child to raise a village"
Do you remember when you were a child?
Remember your ideas and crazy dreams?
Who did you want to be like? What did you want to change?
Children are often, by their nature and standing, the most vulnerable and under-valued members of our society. Children are also, by nature, creative and entrepreneurial.
Yet, the majority of business and social innovation programs are offered at under-graduate level or higher.
Our philosophy is embodied in the statement “it takes a child to raise a village”.
Provided the opportunities, children have great capacity for entrepreneurialism and innovation. The Academy for Young Entrepreneurs (AYE) wants to ensure this is harnessed before they ‘grow up’.
About the founding organisation
AYE has been founded by Hope Empowered. Hope Empowered is an organisation that works in the gap between traditional welfare and mainstream employment and training models. We utilise creativity, mentoring and entrepreneurship as tools to engage and empower vulnerable people.
Your support will help us to expand and grow AYE so that more children access this great program. We intend to:
1. Run AYE again in the pilot school
2. Deliver AYE in partnership with another community organisation, school and region
3. identify and build relationships with national business partners as funders and volunteer mentors
4. package the program for national expansion and licensing
