Campaign Overview

The goal of Cutting For A Purpose is to teach a trade and employ homeless teens and adults, while helping smaller local charities advance.

Hello!  My name is Stephanie and I am the founder of Events For A Purpose.  Our goal is to help smaller/struggling charity organizations succeed by providing them with a business consultant to restructure their foundations and then putting on an event for them that will gain support from their surrounding communities, all at no cost to the charity. To help provide funding for this venture we came up with a concept that would help provide jobs for disadvantaged individuals, Cutting For A Purpose.

We will launched this campaign by hiring CUTTERS. Cutters are designers that make your old worn out jeans into fashionably destroyed jeans or shorts. Our Cutters will be our first product makers, and will be commissioned to train women in shelters and other homeless individuals, etc. on how to refashion your jeans.  This program will enable these struggling individuals to earn income at a time when it seems almost impossible to do so.

The program is simple. Once we are up and running, we'll invite people to send in $10 for every pair of jeans they would like cut. We will send them packaging for their jeans, and all they will have to do is wrap up their jeans and drop them in the mailbox. We'll do the rest! Thanks to you and your contribution, you will provide support to members of community who need it most.

The funds raised through Cutting For A Purpose, above what is needed to pay the women and teens who work on the jeans, will be used to help provide support to smaller/struggling charities in area’s all over the US, starting in Arizona.

Tipping Point Goal: $600

Total Funding Goal: $2,000

When we reach our tipping point of $600, we will be able to start formalizing Events for a Purpose and developing Cutting For A Purpose to help build cash flow. Formalizing EFAP will take $400, which will go to applying for our 501(c)(3) status.

$200 will help us start to launch our fundraising campaign by buying supplies for the campaign such as, jean cutting supplies, jeans to train on, and getting shipping materials ready for the campaign when it officially launches. Which we will have a project manager began to formulate the campaign to transtiion to start working with a local shelter in Tucson, AZ.

When we reach our total goal of $2,000 we will be able to launch CFAP online and hire and train disadvantage indiviuals to start desigining your jeans. If all goes well, we will be able to expand to a second shelter.  As Cutting For a Purpose raises more money for EFAP, and as we continue to provide consultations of our selected organizations, we will raise the funding needed for our charity events.
