Citizens worldwide are in need of equal access to the newest technology and innovations that increase citizen participation and influence social change.

Ethical Citizen Media (ECM) applies universally applicable Citizen Journalist tactics ;that preserve and gain human rights and social justice, by providing indigenous peoples with safe and ethical journalist tactics through training.
Citizens receive certification and mentorship to increase participation in social justice causes, like laws and policies, by providing ethical recording, reporting and training, and technology. Practitioners are trained and certified through a series of culturally diverse workshops.
Workshops are conducted in partner and host facilities in the form of two or three day trainings, depending on group size. We also offer customized sessions, which include in-depth technology training. Support of this venture will allow us to expand our scope in Kenya and Nigeria, and begin work in other areas of Africa.

If we reach our tipping point ($4750) we will be able to train 100 citizen journalists. This comes out to $47.50 USD per person. When we reach our total goal ($19,000) we will be able to train 500 ($38 per person) more new journalists, as it is economical to train more practitioners as the scale increases.
