EcoRise Youth Innovations inspires a new generation of green leaders to design a sustainable future for all.
Through our solutions-based programming, EcoRise empowers youth to tackle real-world challenges by teaching environmental literacy, social innovation and hands-on design skills.
EcoRise partners with high school teachers to infuse environmental literacy, social innovation and hands-on desing skills into the daily curriculum supporting science and technology. Over the past three years, EcoRise has had an incredible impact on the lives of over 500 students in six schools in Austin. As a result, we are facing more demand than we can keep up with. The only way we can reach more youth in more schools is to FORMALIZE AND PACKAGE OUR CURRICULUM and train more teachers so they have the capacity to implement our unique program in their own classrooms. Your support is crucial so that we may double the number of schools we serve this fall.
$15,000 will allow us to FULLY LAUNCH our program at SEVEN SCHOOLS this fall. Your donations will fund teacher training workshops held in August-October at these schools serving economically-disadvantaged students in Austin.
Where the money will go when we reach our tipping point:
$3,250 – Developing a stellar curriculum! (60+ unique lesson plans, activity sheets & comprehensive teacher's guide)
$4,500 – Creating a beautiful EcoRise Toolkit! (colorful 200+ page package, videos & multi-media materials)
$1,000 – Toolkit Production (hard copies for all seven schools + design/build kits)

$8,750 (=$1,250 per school)
And if we reach our total goal then we'll be able to FULLY IMPLEMENT:
$6,000 – Train-the-Teacher Program (organize & facilitate teacher training workshops and offer on-going teacher support)
$250 – workshop materials
