The Future We Are Creating

"All My Relations"; A world in which everybody matters, everybody counts. Regardless of creed, color or social status, access to clean drinking water is a human right.

The medicine of hummingbird is Joy. The characterisitics of hummingbird almost defy physical law (fly sideways and backwards, wing beats up to 80 per second). Hummingbird gives us a way to engage with present-day issues that appear dire and at times seemingly insurmountable.

The spirit of hummingbird says that for every problem there IS a solution if you will only turn your bright focus beam upon it in collaborative co-conspiring. In this spirit of inspired resolution (arrived at in myriad ways including songs and dreaming), we discover the inherent truth of 'Pronoia'; 'how the universe is conspiring to shower you with blessings'.

How We Are Creating It

Our commitment was to Host a hummingbird village and, out of that glorious milieu, the HOW of a task of such magnitude would emerge. Each Year has proven so, in a heretofore unimagined rich tapestry of women inter-weaving skill-base and experience and forward dreams.

We are water beings on a water planet, coming into right relationship with ourselves, each other and terra firma.

This is the 4th and final year of the Ohlone-hosted 1000 Hummingbird Village for women and girls ('planetweavers') to come together to re-envision for the waters of the earth.

This heart-centered focus on 'weaving a world that works' yields the most phenomenal liaisons and alliances. Each year from Year One, WHO has shown has been a wonder, and WHO begins to work together is ever a joy to behold.

Our Story & Why You Should Support Us

Funds raised go to pay for elders travel, facility rentals, non-chemical toilets, hummingbird kitchen and all sundries associated with hosting 1000 Hummingbirds international Village.

Right now we water the seeds of hope and courage and inspiration. 'Hummingbird women' are self-identified, by alignment to a heart-of-the-World vision of a thriving planet & People, emerging and evolving in sweet and astonishing ways through and far beyond the 21st Century. Every Year of cross-pollinating brings seed-notes newly propagated in the ribbon of our weave. Every year ripples out in extraordinary ways.

Ohlone Woman, in deep distress over her People not being heard in contaminated groundwater issue. Hummingbird buzzes her (for real), and will not leave until she has coalesced this "1000 Hummingbirds..." "All Women, All Nations" for the waters of the earth.

She brings this compelling encounter/inspiration to her elders, who bring it into ceremony and thereby declare that indeed the time is ripe for women to come together for this over-arching issue of our times.

In keeping with Ohlone protocol applicable to an issue of this magnitude; we host for 4 consecutive years, a gathering here in Ohlone territory, to bring together hearts and minds of the grandmothers, mothers, sisters, and children, toward Resolution.
