JCJ aims to promote awareness of climate change issues in the Asia Pacific region and empower vulnerable communities to adapt to, and mitigate, the impacts.
Our goal is to keep Congress accountable on climate change legislation and to create lasting policies that tackle this pressing issue.
“Save a coat.” These three words encompass our mission: to stop the senseless slaughter of harp seals.
Imagine a world where people understand the impact of their energy use and instinctively make informed, sustainable energy decisions. It's time for a new normal!
We are creating a system by which some of the poorest communities on the planet can be empowered by the value of the world's 2nd largest traded commodity: coffee. Rather than buy your daily coffee, you donate towards the community development of coffee farming communities. The coffee you drink is transformed from a product you buy, to a gift given to you for the donation you've made to a coffee growing community. And by the way, since your donation is tax-deductible, this means the coffee you drink is effectively free. Save money, empower communities, and connect with humanity.
We aspire to be the best source for reclaimed pallet furniture. Helping reduce emissions by reclaiming materials and providing contemporary furniture to the end user at an affordable price in tough economic times. Plus it looks great!
MAKE KPANDO BEAUTIFUL - The United Youth Club Kpando - Konda in partnership with other local youth groups are hosting a community day of action to clean up their environment - December 17th 2011. We are focusing on the five major townships of our District - Konda, Aloyi, Tsakpe, Gabi and Zongo. The day is being presented in cooperation with the Kpando District Assembly and there are many youth, church and school groups invited and pledging their support to participate. We recognize the importance of a clean environment to the physical, mental and emotional well being of our community. Our action has sparked interest in other villages and it is hoped that this 2011 pilot will seed an idea that can grow across the Kpando District and the Volta Region. MAKE KPANDO BEAUTIFUL is our idea and we are committed to making our present cleaner and our future stronger.
Our mission is to provide veterinary care for animals of the Galapagos Islands
The premise of Print a Forest is simple: Print 100 pages. Plant a tree. That’s it. All the person printing has to do is use our free computer software and be open to having a small message from a brand across the bottom of the page, a branded footnote from a sponsor. Those brand messages from a sponsor fund a tree to be planted with the PlantaBillion.org for every 100 pages the user prints. Planting 75 new trees for every tree worth of paper that was printed, together we can literally print a forest.
We want to start a small working ranch where special needs adults can live, work and thrive.
