We are working to end domestic violence and sexual assault in our community by making information and resources about these topics more accessible. Many people dealing with abuse do not know where to turn for help or do not have access to information they need to help themselves. Pages for Change aims to raise funds to donate key books on domestic violence and sexual assault to 19 libraries in south central Indiana by October 2012, in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Pages for Change was developed by Middle Way House, a non-profit domestic violence program and rape crisis center.
CleanBirth.org is a non-profit working to reduce the extremely high rates of infant and maternal mortality in Laos. In the villages where we work, women give birth alone in the jungle without clean supplies or a birthing partner. CleanBirth.org empowers village nurses to provide pregnant women with basic birthing supplies and education about safe, hygienic birthing practices. For just $5, we can save 2 lives.
